Growing up, my understanding of God and prayer was very distorted. Being raised in a Catholic church, prayer was a formal, somber thing. Further, growing up in a French Catholic church when you didn’t speak a lick of French, meant that prayer (and God) was incomprehensible and confusing.

I see a lot of self-proclaimed “Christian” musicians on social media blathering about "I'm playing for Jesus! An audience of one! Come join me and we'll jam for Jesus!"

The old saying goes, "no one will look back at the end of their life and wish they spent more time in the office".
